Ms. Lise

This is the page description.

—  about  —

homeschool mom, scribbler, mark maker, lover of things beautiful and wise

A quondam banker, now; fulltime homeschool mom, small business owner, poet and published author of Brown Skin, Brown Spice. Lisa is passionate about matters of the heart and healing from trauma and can often be found facilitating women’s meetings. She has over two decades of experience writing and sharing inspirational pieces in many formats and forums.

A few of her poems have been published in Laurentian University’s literary journal Sulphur.

Lisa lives and works out of her home in rural Ontario, Canada with her husband and four children. She splits her time between mark making, writing and laughter with friends and family.

You can often find her learning something new.

She loves the month of September, warm tea and listening to “elders” share stories about “back home”.

—  words  —

—  Proverbs 16:24

“People laugh at me because I use big words. But if you have big ideas, you have to use big words to express them, haven't you?”
L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

“We who live in quiet places have the opportunity to become acquainted with ourselves, to think our own thoughts and live our own lives in a way that is not possible for those keeping up with the crowd.”
Laura Ingalls Wilder
