Brown Skin Brown Spice

Ontario, Canada, July 9th, 2022 – Lisa Simone Adamson’s debut book Brown Skin Brown Spice celebrates the many shades of brown skin through vivid illustrations. The bright colourful portraits introduce children to spices, art, culture and creativity. Interwoven in the text is a gentle appreciation for growing up Canadian with Caribbean roots.  Through little vignettes the author brings to light how beautifully diverse brown skins is, and encourages a spirit of acceptance for all skin tones.

About Lisa Adamson: A quondam banker, now; fulltime homeschool mom, small business owner, poet and published author of Brown Skin, Brown Spice. A few of her poems have been published in Laurentian University’s literary journal Sulphur. Lisa was born in Toronto, Ontario and raised Mississauga, Ontario.
